I know you did not tell that to me, but I wanne know wtf you're talking about.. :P @ Catma: Well I guess all webmastering stuff is based (or requires) that MSQL stuff.. I don't really know what's that because I don't need to know that, to make such a site: www.krawiec.webd.pl It just all started our teacher made us to make a website, and at the beginning I was rly lazy and didn't want to do that. As well I was afraid of HTML language(cause its kinda hard) and didn't want to try that. But some months ago my brother(he's a great informatic, rly!) told me about a Joomla! thing and how it's easy to create a website with it, so I'm "having fun" hehe So far it is crappy but yesterday my bro told me to draw on a paper how I'd like to my site look like. Joomla is such a cms, one of the very good ones (a lot of functions, way more extensions). Just think about what your site really needs. For each type of website there are things that match to the site. Some backround information: MySQL is a database where you can store information like board entries. MySQL alone can't do anything, you need a script language, for example PHP (is very popular). The script is doing all the work and writes out HTML for display stuff. Sure you can use joomla for a personal homepage or as well to make a firm website :P It's not such a big deal. This stuff is really easy. I think even a baby could handle it What may be a bit harder is to find a good and reliable page host(er?). Then you visit its website, register an account and buy the domain. Then you just have to read in some help/discuss forums on how to install Joomla there btw. visit my website and see if you like it.
